Following on from the release of their latest single, HELLO, the band's first new music in 2 years, Welsh outfit Public Order have today shared with fans the track's official video. Released through Ignition Records, their latest effort is an explosive guitar swinging anthem that's now matched with a visual counterpart that effortlessly showcases the track's propulsive nature through flashing imagery and dazzling lights. Speaking about the track, the band explained, "It's been a while but we're buzzing to be back with new music! The last 18-months have been a bit of a roller coaster for us but we took some time out to work on new music and even managed to sign a new record deal. 'HELLO', produced by fellow Welsh residents Damon Minchella and Tom Manning, is the first track to be taken from a forthcoming EP. It's a pulsing, guitar driven indie banger which we love and have been champing at the bit to get out into the world." Adding about the new video, "Buzzing to get the HELLO video out. We had a blast making it with Jay. It was a lot of fun to make and he smashed it. Plus it's our first official video as a four piece now that we have Dan on drums. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it." Take a watch for yourselves below.
Recorded live at their Wrexham AFC’s The Racecourse Ground on 27 & 28 May last year, Kings of Leon have announced details of a special edition of their brand-new album, Can We Please Have Fun. The Live In Wrexham Edition is released on 10 May and includes 7 live recordings from the band’s sold out gigs, as well as the new album in full.
Can We Please Have Fun (Live In Wrexham Edition) will be released on 2CD and Dual Colour cassette formats and is available from here. The cover photo for the album is shot by Wrexham AFC’s club photographer, Rob Stead.
Kings of Leon’s new album Can We Please Have Fun, as its title suggests is a document of one of this era’s great rock & roll bands cutting loose, trying new things, and yes, having some fun. “It was the most enjoyable record I’ve ever been a part of,” Caleb says. “It’s like we allowed ourselves to be musically vulnerable,” Nathan adds. “I love it when a rock band is not embarrassed to admit that every song doesn’t have to be on 11.” Recorded at Dark Horse studio and produced with new collaborator Kid Harpoon (Harry Styles, Florence + the Machine), the album sees the band go back to their roots, with a whole new purpose and reimagined desire.
Kings of Leon will headline BST Hyde Park in London on Sunday 30 June, alongside special guest Paolo Nutini. Tickets are available at www.bst-hydepark.com

Having cut their teeth on London's underground live circuit, all without releasing a song, the band - comprised of producer Lev Ceylan,
vocalist Will Rowland and drummer Scott MacDonald have today finally stepped out from their shadows with news of their debut body of work. Signed to Ninja Tune, the trio will share their EP, All At Once on June 14th, and today unveil its first double single, 'Himmel' / 'Swarm' - a mystifying ambient effort that breaks away in to a frenzied climax. “I like that it can't be pigeonholed,” says Lev Ceylan, speaking of the forthcoming EP. “We really do love plot twists – where it just explodes into something completely different.” "That song encapsulates the two sides of the sound we have quite well," adds Rowland about the single. "Having the more ethereal, dreamy vocals but with that undercurrent of the low rumblings. It's kind of like heaven and hell." Take a listen for yourselves below.

Signing to cult indie label Psychic Hotline (Sylvan Esso), today sees the wonderful return of Hippo Campus as the band share their brand new single, Everything At Once. Arriving as their first new material of 2024, the track's soulful edge takes shape through it's slow guitar intro as it steadily builds towards its rousing crescendo. Explaining the track in more detail, the group stated: “‘Everything at Once’ is a meditation, a focus on breath in the midst of breathless moments. You’ve been running away for too long; you need to face what you’re running from if you’re ever going to beat it. Slow down, breathe deep, put a name to the things you fear. Be patient, surrender your forced perspective, and feel everything at once.” Take a listen for yourselves below.
Following on from February's scintillating effort, Dead Plants, Manchester's Better Joy have made their exciting return with their new single, Talking Around. Out now via independent label Fader Amp, the track's explosive energy is a testament to their dark song writing capabilities, contrasted against an exhilarating blend of frenzied guitars and electronics. Of the track Bria says; “’Talking Around’ tells the story of a fall out and calling out someone who twists the truth to suit their own perceptions and reputation. Trust is a powerful bond and when broken, it’s destructive. You end up hearing their muddled-up version of events, and it can show a side of that person you didn’t know was there. It makes you question the entire relationship you had and also your own judgment of other people, sometimes making it harder to let people into your life.” Take a listen for yourselves below along with a run of upcoming live dates.

In support of their recently released self-produced EP 'The Left Side', Leeds-based outfit L'objectif returned to Cardiff for their debut headline show in the Welsh Capital.
Promptly arriving on-stage at 9pm, the band were quick to usher everyone forward as they began to warm up the room with their scintillating indie-pop anthems.
Having missed their set at 2022's multi-venue gathering, Swn Festival, I was eager to catch them in the flesh as they've continued to progress with their maturing sound, and they certainly didn't disappoint.
From Puppy's buoyant melodies and bouncy rhythms, to The Conman that was delivered in all its glory with exhilarating guitars and high strung energy, the band's tightly knitted performance was enough to get the temperatures rising. All to the point frontman Saul Kane had to opt for a quick wardrobe change, much to the delight of fans. A perfect opportunity for him to plug their merch as he donned one of their own t-shirts.
With their passionable delivery personified,
the liveliness on stage soon transcended in to the crowd, who by this
point had suitably limbered up as they competed for the loudest
"yeow" in appreciation.
With them yet to release an album, the West-Yorkshire four-piece have come a long way over the years, and despite the lack of an LP, have managed to amass enough material to play an almost hour long set that's all killer no filler.
With their latest release played in full amongst a strong selection of track's from their now impressive back-catalogue the evening sadly came to a culminative end. But not before their biggest hit as they dived in to the fan favourite The Dance You Sell. Described as a track that's written about the comfort we find in dullness that often stops people from excelling, it's certainly had the opposite effect on their output as they show no
sign of slowing down.
Throwing themselves in to its guitar intro, they wasted no time in exploding in to life amongst the track's fervent percussion and striking vocals, all before the band one by one stopped playing to join its acapella outro. A memorable and fitting finale to an evening spent in top company.
See L’objectif live in 2024: 01 May | The George Tavern, London 02 May | Prince Albert, Brighton 04 May | The 1865, Southampton 18 May | Get Together Festival, Sheffield
Following on from last months return with their single Remoter Heaven, Welsh outfit Slate have today shared their latest cut, Shade In Me, taken from the band's forthcoming new EP entitled Deathless, out May 17th on Brace Yourself Records. Inspired by a speech from Chung Mong-hong’s film A Sun (2019), the track's soft opening soon dissipates in to a soaring crescendo of crashing guitars, towering vocals and a catharsis of explosive percussion. Vocalist Jack Shephard explains the track's ideas in more detail, "When someone needs refuge, you can offer them your shade. The song itself, ended up gentler in sound compared what we have been used to writing. Sentimental songs like this one can make you feel vulnerable. But perhaps that is appropriate for a song about opening up yourself for someone." Take a listen for yourselves below.
Tour dates: May 9th-11th | Wrexham, UK - Focus Wales May 16th-18th | Brighton, UK - The Great Escape May 18th | Sheffield, UK - Get Together May 31st | Cardiff, UK - Clwb Ifor Bach June 5th - London, UK - The Windmill Aug 15-18th | Brecon, UK - Green Man Festival
Returning with the latest track to be taken from their forthcoming album, Forgiveness Is Yours, out this Friday, 26th of April on Domino, Fat White Family have shared the glorious Work. Accompanied by a video directed by CC Wade the video/track tells a tale of "obsession and a man’s relentless desire for greatness to the detriment of his life, his body and his sanity". Talking about the track and video Lias said: "This tune and lyric was written by Nathan Saoudi, with a little help from the indomitable Jess Winter. It became a bit of nightmare in production, like, serious graft. Anyway, it’s one of @braindestiny’s best. The idea for the video came from watching Rocky IV on the telly at our family xmas. Nothing brings people together quite like Rock IV. The way Stallone single handedly brings down the Soviet Union. We can all learn something form that. I enjoyed it so much I started binging on Rocky films in January. Most of the other ones are shit, but there’s a scene in the third one - Rock III - where Rock has to accept he’s lost it, grown decadent, delusional, flaccid...Apollo Creed (RIP) has to drag his arse to LA to train him back up the old way, the hard way, the way it USED to be…Between both of these lessons one might learn everything needs to about life, about ambition, about success being nothing more than failure in drag...C C Wade were the obvious choice to direct this homage. They are truth. They are two people that allow whatever their working on to absorb them entirely. There is no limit at Haus C C Wade. No ceiling. No basement. No ledge. All in." Returning with the final taster of their upcoming debut album 'Call A Doctor', which is due out May 25th on Sub Pop and Virgin Australia (in Australia), Girl and Girlhave shared their scintillating latest effort, Oh Boy!. Sharing more detail abour the track, Girl and Girl frontperson Kai James says: “I’d had Oh Boy! half written for a few years before we got round to recording it. I really loved the first half and had kind of psyched myself out of finishing it. When it was finally demoed early last year, this big sort of chaotic, sprawling word vomit poured out of me that seemed to tie the whole thing up nicely, it’s brimming with joy and misery and sarcasm, all things girl and girl.” Take a listen to Oh Boy! for yourselves below with the Tayla Lauren clip below.

Anyone lucky enough to have caught a Fat Dog live show will
already know all too well the pure chaos that ensues. Big cowboy hats. Charged up guitars and percussion. Mosh pits that
singer Joe will readily join in on. And a self sacrificing ritual of sorts for
good measure. If you're yet
to to, well, the good news is you'll have your chance as the London
based outfit look set to take the world by storm with a mammoth announcement of tour dates. Coinciding with the news the band have unveiled their latest single Running. A track that sees their impulsive energy take over through charging vocals and intense pulsating synths. The new track is taken from the band's forthcoming newly announced album WOOF, out on Domino Records September 6th 2024. “Music is so vanilla,” says Love. “I don’t like sanitised music. Even this album is sanitised compared to what’s in my head. I thought it would sound more fucked up.” Take a listen to the new track for yourselves below.
